We wanted the feeling of home. Just not the hosting part.
There’s something special about gathering at home.
People settle in. Kids play. Someone is always standing around the kitchen island. Drinks get poured, food gets passed around, and nobody feels like they need to leave just because dinner is over.
But hosting at home?
That part is a little less magical.
It’s cleaning before everyone arrives. Finding somewhere to hide the pile of stuff that normally lives on the kitchen counter. Rearranging furniture. Buying serving pieces you’ll use twice a year. Decorating. Cooking. Making sure everyone has what they need. And then, when the last person leaves, looking around your house and realizing you still have to clean all of this up.
Traditional event venues solve that problem — but sometimes they lose the very thing we love about gathering at home. They can feel formal, empty, commercial, or like a blank room you have to spend even more time and money transforming.
We wanted both.
A beautiful place that feels warm, comfortable and lived-in — where the kitchen is meant to be gathered around, the couch is meant to be sat on, and children aren't an afterthought.
A place where you can throw a birthday party, host a baby shower, gather your friends for dinner, bring your little one to a morning activity, learn something new, make something together, or simply show up because something fun is happening.
All without cleaning your house first.
So, we made one.
The Make Room is the experience of entertaining at home — without having to entertain at your home.
Come celebrate. Come create. Come gather.
We made room for you.
We're making room.
The Make Room is currently in the works in the Houston area. Follow along as we build a gathering place designed to feel a little more like home.
